PRESS RELEASE:
IMPLEMENTATION OF ENERGY EFFICIENCY IMPROVEMENT AT TRUCK-REPAIR KFT.

European Union funding has been used to develop energy in Truck-repair Ltd., within the framework of the GINOP-4.1.4-19-2020-03107 project. The project submitted in response to the call for proposals GINOP-4.1.4-19 SUPPORT FOR BUILDING ENGINEERING DEVELOPMENTS AIMING TO INCREASE ENERGY USE AND ENERGY EFFICIENCY was awarded a grant of HUF 9.19 million.

Truck-Repair Ltd. was established in 2015 with the aim of providing its customers and partners with high quality additional services, primarily the servicing and repair of trucks and the necessary additional services. The owners of the company had 20 years of professional experience and an extensive network of partners and acquaintances in the relevant areas of economic and business life at the time of its establishment, so the company has undergone a great development in a short period of time. Since its establishment, there have been no changes in the ownership of the company. The head office of the company is located at 18 Süveges utca, 1112 Budapest, but it also has branches in Szombathely and Debrecen. The company carries out economic activities at the branches, and in one of the branches, in addition to providing services, it also carries out central administration related to the operation of the area. All the infrastructure necessary for the operation of the business is available. The building is average in terms of energy efficiency - plastic windows and doors with sectional doors.

Through the development, the company aims to maintain existing results, optimising the cost of operations to achieve the highest possible results, in order to create the potential for future small and large-scale improvements.

  • Name of beneficiary: Truck-repair Kft.
  • Project title: Energy efficiency improvement at Truck-repair Kft.
  • Place of realization: 9700 Szombathely, Vásártér utca 4. 8111/15 hrsz.
  • Duration of the investment: 16.03.2021 - 13.08.2021.
  • Total cost of investment: 16.700.000 Ft
  • Contracted amount of the grant awarded: 9.185.000 HUF.
  • Aid intensity: 55 %

A brief description of the investment:

The aim of the development was to improve the energy efficiency of the company's own premises.

The following activities were carried out as part of the investment:

  • Installation of a 49.8 kWp solar PV system

Type and quantity of solar panels installed:

  • -Canadian Solar CS3W-415W - 120 pieces

Type and quantity of inverter installed:

  • -SolarEdge SE50K - 1 pc

The development was motivated by the fact that the company did not have any renewable energy technology to ensure its operations, so the aim was to optimise operating costs on the one hand, and to produce electricity from renewable energy sources on the other, thus replacing fossil fuels.

The building affected by the development was the Szombathely branch of the company. The general condition of the building was satisfactory, so the solar PV system was installed on a roof covered in accordance with the tender criteria.

As a result of the development, the building's electricity supply is almost 70 percent supplied by the solar system, so the investment has not had a direct impact on operations, but it has reduced operating costs.

The investment has increased the value of the building, improved the financial indicators and will provide the basis for future investments and improvements in the medium term.

Optimising costs, by reducing operating costs, has contributed to the improvement in operating profit. They have increased the competitiveness of the company and its presence in the market.

The implementation of the project went smoothly and the company did not encounter any problems.
